Must Read: 5 Top Tips for hiring a Wedding Photographer!

1. Portfolio

In the first instance, the photographers portfolio should make you - wow! Notice how I always build a story of the day from the finer first moments to the traditionally classic group shots. As a professional photographer, I have invested in the best kit and will put in the time and effort to make sure your wedding photos are incredible - and this includes hours/days of post-processing to really make them shine. You may notice different photographers have shooting styles. My approach is a very relaxed one, allowing the day to unfold unobtrusively. I will suggest slight alternations when necessary, though capture the beauty of the day to tell its own story. You'll have high expectations of your photographer to capture your day, it can often be fast paced and hectic, but rest assured my experience, dedication and skills will make your dreams come true!

2. Meeting & deposit

I usually like to meet you to find out what you are looking for and to introduce my work in print and so you can understand my approach in capturing your day. Its also a good icebreaker and so you'll feel more comfortable when proceeding. I take a 20% deposit to confirm the booking so both parties can feel comfortable.

3. Confirm times & rehearsal

Couples like to message me with details about particular things they'd like to be captured from flowers or jewels on dresses to walls or decorations. This helps create a feel and style of the day. If there is a rehearsal I would like to attend as to test lighting conditions and if there are any rules and regulations of the venue.

4. On the Day

Its always a good idea to leave plenty of time for everything in your day as time goes quickly and I often experience that everything gets delayed with excitement. Make sure you allow plenty of time for the formal family group shots as well as portraits of you and your husband/wife. Also, it's often nice to take some time out during the wedding to have intimate pictures of just you and your partner as newly weds, away from the hustle and bustle of it all. This gives you time to breathe and spend a bit of time together while settling yourselves before going back to all of your family and friends.

5. Album & End Product

Its important to be happy with the end result whether it be my finely crafted album, to the edited pictures you'll receive on the disk. With my packages you can print or share what you desire with no restrictions though I offer high quality printing and frames. It may take 3-4 weeks to receive the photos in a luxury case, any sooner would mean they haven't been taken the time to be loved and devoted.
